Which healthcare trend are you most excited about and why?
One of the most exciting healthcare trends today is the accelerating pace of innovation driven by advanced technologies such as AI and data analytics. These tools are enabling us to address diseases that were previously untreatable or underserved. Healthcare software companies are at the forefront of this transformation, improving the success rate of new drug candidates and significantly reducing the time and cost of bringing therapies to market. This creates value across the entire pharma value chain — from early-stage research and clinical trials to more effective go-to-market strategies and enhanced drug safety monitoring post-commercialization. And most importantly, these advancements ultimately lead to better outcomes for patients.
Which person is a professional role model for you?
Roger Federer has been a professional role model for me ever since I met him in the mid-2000s while working at the Swiss Indoors in Basel. Despite his extraordinary success, he remained humble, respectful, and down to earth. His career was defined by discipline, meticulous preparation, and a constant drive to improve and adapt — qualities that kept him at the top of his sport for many years. As growth and buyout investors in healthcare software, we embrace a similar mindset: maintaining a rigorous and detail-oriented approach while continuously evolving with technological change.
What is your passion outside of work?
Road and gravel cycling is my passion, preferably uphill. I love exploring mythical high-altitude mountain passes as much as discovering obscure, rarely ridden dead-end climbs. This pursuit has allowed me to rediscover the natural beauty of Switzerland, from its famous routes to hidden gems. One of my favorite rides was climbing Gotthard’s Tremola from Airolo — a unique experience to ride up these smooth cobblestones with those incredible sets of switchbacks!
