Dr. Christoph Kausch

Christoph Kausch is Founder, Managing Partner and a board member of MTIP, a Swiss specialist growth and buyout investor focused on European healthcare technology. Since founding MTIP in 2014, he has shaped its investment strategy, built its team and investor relationships, and developed a platform encompassing closed-end funds and the evergreen MTIP EverHealth Fund. He chairs MTIP’s Investment Committee and remains actively involved in investment execution, portfolio value creation and the firm’s strategic development. Having built a business himself, Christoph brings an entrepreneur’s perspective to working with founders and management teams. He supports international expansion, acquisitions and organizational development, combining strategic thinking with a practical approach to execution.

Christoph has over 15 years of board experience across more than 10 companies. He chairs the board of Coramaze Technologies and serves on the board and Remuneration Committee of Nitinotes. His experience also includes service on Oviva’s Audit and Remuneration Committees. His board work focuses on strategic direction, disciplined capital allocation and effective governance, combining constructive challenge with practical support for management teams. Before founding MTIP, Christoph led corporate strategy development at Syngenta, then a publicly listed global business, working closely with its Senior Executive Committee on strategy and international implementation. Previously, he served as Managing Director of Hafiba and worked at McKinsey & Company on strategy, M&A and operational value creation.

Christoph holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich and a doctorate in innovation and technology management from the University of St. Gallen. He also conducted research at Harvard Business School and was a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
